Overview
ACC’s Shop Floor to Top Floor initiative provides technology and expertise to manufacturers to help leverage their existing investments in business level and manufacturing level systems. Companies have invested heavily in these two areas, and today's most successful organizations believe the key to increasing profitability, agility, and customer satisfaction is through accurate and timely exchange of information between business and shop floor systems. This methodology is based on the emerging international standard, ISA S95. This standard, combined with implementation in XML (B2MML), offer manufacturers a new way to integrate these complex systems with less risk and quicker realization of project goals.

Major Consumer Goods Manufacturer – SHOP FLOOR DATA INTEGRATION
- Pilot project to provide standard technologies to each plant for the collection of manufacturing data and generation of standardized performance reporting.
- Accepted as a software global standard in 1997, rolled out to 50 plants worldwide with international language capabilities.
- Provides means for both automated and manual data entry. Various combinations of manual and automatic data entry based on plant support and technology, all leading to the same data and same metric measurements.
- Provides over 200 report types for various audiences from operations and team coaches, to plant management and ultimately corporate and supply chain management.
- Reports provide not just static data but allow users to set up “what-if” scenarios to test the effects of improvements in various areas of plant capability.

- Automated data collection of production data from multiple lines.
- Flexible reporting based on Excel Add In, allowing for both static and ad-hoc reports.
