Take Control

ACC has organized the key aspects of operational control into six elements. Virtually all of ACC’s projects are driven by the desire to improve the customer’s ability to control one or more of these six elements:

Process

Whether the process is continuous, batch, or discrete, ACC utilizes the most current control strategies and technology in implementing robust automation systems.

Materials

From raw material testing through weigh/dispense through the entire manufacturing process, ACC implements solutions providing tracking and control of raw materials and their containers.

Software & Documents

Immediate and online access to current, effective documents and software can provide a tremendous productivity boost for virtually all manufacturers and can facilitate compliance for regulated companies. ACC can implement systems featuring on-line routing, approval, and management of critical documents such as batch records, SOPs, and specifications. Access to software can be controlled and monitored to include regularly scheduled automatic comparisons of the software actually controlling the plant to the current, controlled version of that software.

Information

ACC can implement a central and secure data repository for shop floor data from a variety of sources and systems. This data can then be normalized, resulting in the ability to analyze, view, and generate reports according to each user’s unique needs.

Equipment

From monitoring whether equipment is “available for production use” to automatic scheduling of maintenance and calibration events based on actual production and process data, ACC can implement a system for tracking virtually all aspects of a plant’s physical assets.

Personnel

ACC can implement the ability to “automate” manual operations through electronic work instructions and even utilize operators’ training records as a permissive to begin production. In addition, operator training and re-certification can be managed in much the same way as equipment maintenance records.
